Lake Trasimeno is only fourth by extension between the lakes of Italy, but certainly is the most important in central Italy.
Its shallow depth (at most 6 meters), ranks it among the laminar lakes.
The area of Lake Trasimeno stands out for the beauty of the landscape and for the naturalistic interest, considering the fauna particularly rich in species of mammals, fish, amphibians and of course many birds.
Above all they are very suggestive the many villages that directly overlook the lake or that are present in the immediate surrounding area.
